On Thursday 1st March, Kings College London's Brazilian and Portuguese Society are organising an 8 hour danceathon for ABC.
To celebrate Brazilian carnival and raise money for Action for Brazil's Children Trust we challege you to raise £100 and dance for 8 hours on Thursday 1st March.
This exciting event is taking place at Kings College London's Student Union Bar Tutu's. Doors will open at 5 pm and the dancing will begin shortly after and will continue until we dance across the finish line before 3am- no later than any other good night out! We'll kick off with Brazilian forro, axe, samba and funk- with the help of professionals aplenty to show us how it's done!
To register, fill out the form here and send to Katy at firstname.lastname@example.org
And check out the event on Facebook:
After we've perfected our Brazilian moves we'll have a short break and get ready to dance our way form the 70s all the way back to today via all the wonderful decades of music inbetween.
Think Carnival, Rio, Salvador. Think Truffle Shuffle, think 90s night, think of all the great nights you've been to- all rolled into one for a great cause.
5 steps to Carnaval Dance Marathon success:

2. Invite everyone you know

5. Have loads of fun.
That's the idea, enjoy!
We develop partnerships with Brazilian community organisations which not only provide vital training, education and support for young people, but also fire their imagination and creativity through dance, film, drama and music.
Over 3000 children and their families are reached every day through projects made possible by ABC supporters' donations. From counselling to medical care to film-editing workshops, our work provides an all-too-rare source of hope for some of Brazil’s poorest and most vulnerable children.
