Excalibur Auctions Ltd

Press Release   •   May 20, 2016 17:43 BST

Excalibur Auction’s forthcoming May auction will feature arguably one of the rarest posters ever produced to publicise the films from the Harry Potter franchise. The UK One Sheet sized poster’s lenticular design means that the image changes depending on the angle of view, with the straight ahead view showing Sirius Black in the “Wanted” style poster, whilst viewing from most other angles causes him to disappear!

Adrian Cowdry, Excalibur’s poster & autographs specialist explains: “Although a large quantity of this image in lenticular style was produced in smaller formats, the costs and complexities of producing this in such a large format meant that less than ten were produced for the Prisoner of Azkaban film. We estimate that this poster will achieve £4,000-£6,000.”

The auction takes place at The Village Hotel, Elstree, Watford on Saturday 28th May 2016, starting at 10:30am, with live bidding in the room, and internet bidding facilities available at www.thesaleroom.com and www.invaluable.co.uk.
