Kathy Cook - Joint Managing Director of Ramblers Worldwide Holidays – who happened to be sampling one of the company’s ‘Cruise & Walk’ holidays combining Barbados, witnessed at first hand Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines' new facelift for its fleet. Fred. Olsen and RWH have teamed up for 9 years to create the highly successful, award-winning 'Cruise & Walk' programme.
Kathy Cook said, “The Braemar was literally being painted as soon as we arrived in Barbados, after a while at sea! It was quite impressive to watch the skill and speed of the operation. She’s looking very smart – and I am so delighted to have sailed on the Braemar, and not one of those huge impersonal ships also in port!”
The four ships of the Fred. Olsen fleet - Balmoral, Braemar, Boudicca and Black Watch - have now undergone ‘the beauty treatment’, with distinctive charcoal grey hulls, topped with a bold red stripe.
Sales and marketing director Nathan Philpot said: “The painting of the hulls is a positive statement and reflects Fred. Olsen's ongoing commitment to investing in improvements across its fleet. The stylish new livery harks back to Fred. Olsen’s heritage."
