LONDON. A Betclic customer struck gold after winning on a 7-fold containing bets exclusively for matches to produce two or more goals in the first half.
The total odds were 508 times the money and the customer received an early Christmas present.
“The number of matches chosen and that the fact that it contained not one usual full time bet, but on two goals or more in the first half makes this a very rare winning slip,” says Dan Vikman, PR Manager at Betclic.
The customer had the biggest stroke of luck in the Manchester City-Newcastle game with two late first-half goals from City making the bet a winner. With five minutes to go before half-time it was still 0-0 in Manchester when City struck twice via goals from Mario Balotelli and Micah Richards, in the 41st and 44th minute respectively.
But an even later goal came in the match between Freiburg and Hertha Berlin where Peter Niemeyer made it 2-0 for Hertha Berlin with the last kick of the half.
The customer, from Italy, placed €8.00 on the 7-fold and won €4,064.
“This was a nice little win before Christmas, and it shows that you can win on other betting types than full-time bets,“ added Vikman.
