"Home of Inspiration" Art Exhibition. Mas.s to show at St Johns at the start of Advent.

Press Release   •   Nov 18, 2013 12:56 GMT

On the 1st of December Mas.s will exhibit at St.Johns Seminary, Wonersh, Guildford. As part of his parish tour he will be exhibiting more then 40 of his works in a grand setting. The Ambulacrum, an impressive open space 210 feet long and 19 feet wide, running the full length of the main section of the building is the perfect platform for this free one day solo exhibition. Colour up your Sunday with Mas.s.

The event coincides with the start of Advent, a season observed in many Western Christian churches as a time of expectant waiting and preparation for the celebration of the Nativity of Jesus at Christmas. The term is an anglicised version of the Latin word adventus, meaning "coming".

Mas.s, the original Dutch artist, is thrilled to show his work in this beautiful setting in the Surrey Hills. He says, "The building is amazing, used also for filming the series "Foyle's war". When I visited I was straight away overwhelmed by the history, the beautiful spaces and architecture. It is a privilege to show my work here. I am an artist inspired by the church and its history. Many of the most revered and genius artists over the centuries have been inspired by what the church had to offer. I think I am in good company and keep reminding myself in the process that it is my "Home of Inspiration".

"Family life", the featured oil painting, will be on show together with paintings touching upon social and spiritual issues. Also a range of his abstracts, landscapes and portraits will be exhibited.

Mas.s lives and works in Kingston Upon Thames

Mas.S is my artist name.  I have  found the creativity to express myself through the following paintings. I have painted the beauty of this world and  some elementary topics in society at large in a new, fresh and colourful way. I hope you like it. Love, Mas.s
