This past weekend, CEO at R.U.N? Global, Ibram Gaston traveled to the Windy City to attend a two-day business conference, where the business owner forged exciting new connections.

The invite-only conference saw business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs from all over the US travel to Chicago for the event. The meetings were held on March 23rd and 24th at the 4 star Sheraton Grand Chicago. On Friday, attendees gathered in the Sheraton Ballroom Promenade at 11:15 a.m for a buffet lunch to fuel up before the conference started at 12 p.m.
The event saw twelve guest speakers including award-winning entrepreneurs and some of the highest profile individuals within the US sales and marketing industry address delegates.Each speaker spoke on subjects designed to assist with scaling a business. Topics covered included bouncing back after failure, how to make working hard attractive, how to impact and influence people, how to effectively manage large teams, who and when to spend time with, developing skills to the next level, implementing and sticking to a daily schedule and driving sales.
On day 2, business owners gathered in the Sheraton Ballroom 4&5 for a 1:15 p.m. start time. Mr. Gaston was among delegates who saw four guest speakers take to the stage. The highly influential figures focused on talent acquisition and development. The speakers covered topics including; the recruitment funnel, having high standards, effectively impacting & motivating people, one on one conversations to have and mentoring and finished with patience versus urgency.
After the conference finished, attendees were invited to a drinks reception in the Fountainview & Chi East. It was during the two-hour drinks reception that Mr. Gaston capitalized on all of the like-minded individuals in the room and he struck up conversations and forged connections with entrepreneurs and business owners from all across the country.
