Last week, Apple gave us a glimpse of their latest OS the iOS 6. This happened during the WWDC 2012 keynote. Even if this new OS won’t arrive until sometime this fall, it is never too early to start talking about its drool worthy features. The following are some of the neat features of the iOS 6 on the iPhone 4S. Read on!
If you are using the iPhone 4S, then its iOS 5 will show you a long list of sharing options by simply tapping the screen. With the iOS 6, you will now see Facebook sharing as one of the many options along with sharing to different Chinese social networks. But this doesn’t mean that you need more buttons into the phone’s panel. Apple decided against it. The iOS 6 will give you new icon based sharing screen. You will now see icons which represent the apps and services that you want to share your content with. This basically looks like the iPhone’s home screen.
You will also enjoy new Siri functionality on the iPhone 4S. Siri can now answer questions about movies and sports. You will also enjoy integrated turn-by-turn directions in iOS 6 Maps. You will now be able to compose new Facebook updates or new tweets with Siri. Also, if you link your friends’ Twitetr username to your contact list entry, then Siri will automatically translate their real names as you dictate it. You will also enjoy Siri’s new ability to answer questions about stocks and the weather.
If you own a lot of apps, then I am sure that you know how hard it is to figure out exactly which homescreen they are located. With the iOS 6, the new Spotlight tweak will make everything easier for you. This is by listing the name of the folder to a certain app nestled inside when it shows up in your search results.
These are just some of the new iOS 6 features that you will enjoy on the iPhone 4S.
