Apple’s latest iOS the “iOS 6” is expected to come out with the iPhone 5 come October of this year. On the other hand, Google’s latest Android OS the Android Jelly Bean is announced to appear on its own Nexus 7 tablet this month of July. Then there is Microsoft’s Windows Phone 8 to arrive on new handsets from HTC, Nokia, and Samsung. In short, the world of smartphone market is all geared up to get the latest operating systems from Apple, Google, and Microsoft. We also know that these OS will first land on high-ed features smartphones and tablets.
Apple is expected to introduce nothing but fresh interface for their iOS 6. Beyond Apple’s firmware, what their fans are really excited about is a complete interface change. This is most especially true for their upcoming flagship the iPhone 5. According to rumors, this new iOS will come with fresh look and feel. When it comes to the latest OS by Google, the new design matters along with its enhanced performance. Microsoft on the other hand kept its popular Metro-style interface on their latest Windows Phone 8 OS.
The iOS 6 is design for Apple’s i-line products (i.e. iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad). This new OS is rumored to appear on the iPhone 5 first. In addition, if the rumors are true, the mini iPad will run on the same software by the end of this year. Along with the iPhone 5, the new iPod touch will also run on the same firmware. The Jelly Bean will also appear on different gadgets. But Google is first to launch this on its 7” Nexus 7. This is a new tablet by Google. This Asus built device is expected to come out by the end of this month. Also, there are tons of other devices which are expected to land with the Jelly Bean OS update. Microsoft will also roll out their Windows Phone 8 update to major Windows Phone 7.5 devices. This includes the Lumia series by Nokia. Other mobile phones companies are set to launch with devices with Windows Phone 8 OS in the coming months.
