Press Release   •   Aug 19, 2013 11:34 BST

“National Hug Your Boss Day” is this Friday the 23rd
August 2013. It was created to promote workplace relationships and to help
identify the importance of getting on well with your boss and co-workers.

Following on from the survey results detailed above, a
secondary question asked what makes a user more productive at work.
Interestingly, “Good Working Relationships” were at the top of the list with
37% of respondents voting. “Being Happy” was the second most popular option
with 22% responding. Other responses included: “Organisation” 15%, “Time
Management” 11%, “Prioritising” 7%, “Increase of Managerial Discipline” 5%, “To
Do Lists” 4%, “Having a Calendar” 1%.

“National Hug Your Boss Day” is a fun day with a serious
twist that is ultimately there to make the working environment a better place
for everyone.

Corinne Hutchinson comments, “Both surveys certainly back-up
the idea that if you have happy working relationships, you are more likely to
be more productive at work - some interesting findings that Managers and Bosses
should take on board. To support “National Hug Your Boss Day” this year we are
asking everyone to send in pictures of “hugs at work” to marketing@tiptopjob.com or to upload
them onto our Facebook page. Support the fun but serious cause.”
