Leading utility consultancy wrap up another successful year

Press Release   •   Dec 24, 2013 10:05 GMT

Business Cost Consultants have had a very exciting 2013. We have managed to maintain our position of one of the UK’s leading independent utility consultancies with some well-known brands appointing us to manage their energy, water and telecoms costs. We also managed to wrap-up a new project for small and medium businesses towards the end of the December which will be available after the New Year.

New clients

During 2013 several new businesses appointed Business Cost Consultants to manage their utility contracts and consumption. Outdoor clothing company Tresspass (who also own Nevis Sport) appointed us to manage their water and sewerage costs. We also added to our list of clients in the housing association sector, including the Welsh organisation Coastal Housing who appointed us to oversee their gas and electricity contracts. We were also appointed by several large companies in the hospitality sector such as Argyll Holidays, Barrowland Ballroom in Glasgow and Cobbs Hotel Group in Inverness.

Towards the end of the year we started work on an addition to our domestic price comparison website,, to include a new comparison tool for small and medium businesses. SME’s don’t procure their energy the same way as large businesses do and require their own method and service, something we haven't previously offered. The project was wrapped up in late December and we will be launching for definite after the New Year.

Back in March we hosted our own stall at the Housing Federation Conference and Exhibition down in London sharing our information on utility management with housing associations from across the UK. Also this year we attended the Scottish Federation of Food and Drink AGM in Glasgow to vote on decisions concerning the professional body and hear speeches on issues affecting the food industry.

Business Cost Consultants specialise in saving clients money on gas, electricity, water, fixed and mobile telecoms. They also provide advice and help clients lower carbon emissions.
