Liberal Democratic Party: BBC Trust expenses unnecessary and damaging says Foster

“The public has a right to expect the Trust to spend money responsibly. There now needs to be some serious belt-tightening," said the Liberal Democrat Shadow Culture, Media and Sport Secretary.

Commenting on today’s release of the BBC Trust’s expenses, Don Foster said:

“These vast expense claims are unnecessary and extremely damaging. BBC Trust executives clearly hadn’t noticed there was a recession on.

“The public has a right to expect the Trust to spend money responsibly. There now needs to be some serious belt-tightening.”
