"A strong show of leadership is needed to help our struggling public libraries," said the Liberal Democrat Shadow Culture, Media and Sport Secretary.
Commenting on today’s announcement of another review into library services, one year on from the Government’s library modernisation review, Don Foster said:
“It is hugely disappointing that, over a year after the Government launched its library modernisation review, all it has come up with is another consultation.
“The Government’s inability to act has now become part of the problem. A strong show of leadership is needed to help our struggling public libraries to remain relevant in the digital age, attract new users and avoid the threat of cuts.”
