Lucinda Rhodes Joins Death Walks

Press Release   •   Jul 01, 2013 22:08 BST

She's been in the entertainment industry since 1996, splitting her time between television and movie projects. Lucinda Rhodes is an actor, musician, model, acting coach and movie producer with a plethora of credits under her belt from The Dream Team to G.B.H. Since her arrival on the scene seventeen years ago Lucinda has stayed in the media spotlight. Now the actress has given her over-whelming support to new Romford based independent movie Death Walks.

Death Walks is zero budget movie that aims to utilise the talent of the independent film-making community and group together to create a truly ambitious project. Shot in Romford's busy Mercury Shopping Centre after hours, Death Walks focuses on a group of individuals trapped by a zombie threat. But this is no typical zombie tale, Death Walks promises to redefine the genre.

"To get someone of Lucinda's calibre involved in a small movie proves that performers really feel passionately about the independant film industry." Says writer/director Spencer Hawken "I seldom share the script with anyone, scared the secrets of the movie will get out, but I felt I needed to give the full script to Lucinda. Less than twenty-four hours later she sent me an email saying she could not put the script down, that's an amazing compliment. Minutes later she was aboard, and this really moves the project up a level, the role she agreed to play will be a real challenge for any actress."

Lucinda has a number of movie projects already lined up during 2013, but is happy to work on the project, as she fees it really champions the talents of local film-makers and students, and might help to lift the glass ceiling that many of them face. Furthermore its close to her home, and is being shot in almost real-time, so fits nicely in around her other commitments.

Lucinda spends her time harnessing upcoming talent in Romford, and commuting backwards and forwards to her other home in the South of France where she works on a number of projects, and runs her production company Kandle Entertainment.
