Both a report and a tweet are claiming that a “luxury” version of the Samsung Galaxy S5 with a metal housing, octa-core chip, and QHD display is coming in May.
This is according to ETNews, a Korean-speaking site. It claims that in a closed-door meeting between Samsung execs, the Korean tech giant is planning to launch a number of devices under its “Project F” portfolio. One of these devices is the premium S5 that sports a metal housing, octa-core Exynos processor, QHD display, and a camera with optical image stabilisation. The site adds that since this will be an exclusive version of its flagship, not many will be rolling off production.
The report is backed up by @Ricciolo who tweets, “Due to M8 shipping in april, you will see the LUXURY S5 version with metal+exy+better screen in about 2 months from now on.”
If true, then Samsung is also planning to give the HTC M8 a run for its money.
