Most parts of Herefordshire are set to get much faster broadband over the coming years, so now is the time to start thinking about how to make best use of the opportunities this will give.
Apart from the obvious advantages of being able to move large files around, and quicker searching, there will be opportunities to rationalise communications, use cloud computing and make much more use of video – among many other opportunities.
Herefordshire Council has engaged the UK Information Technology Association (UKITA) to develop a tool to help businesses understand how better use of the internet could help them save money, become more efficient and grow faster.
In association with the tool UKITA are running a series of events to highlight the potential benefits of using internet services over faster broadband, using case studies as the basis and demonstrating their capability.
The events are FREE and will run from 5pm to 7pm, with light refreshments provided, on:
- March 29th - The Talbot Hotel, Leominster
