Ministry of Justice - Judicial Appointments: Retirements

Judge Seymour and Judge Bayliss retired as Assistant Judge Advocate Generals and District Judge David Jenkins retired from the District Bench on 31 December 2009.

Judge Robert Charles Court Seymour (61) was called to the Bar (L) in 1972. He was appointed as a Fee-paid Deputy Judge Advocate in The Office of the Judge Advocate General in 1990, as a Salaried Assistant Judge Advocate General in 1995 and as a Magistrate of the Standing Civil Court, Germany in 2001.

Judge John Francis Temple Bayliss (67) was called to the Bar (G) in 1974. He was appointed as an Assistant Recorder in 1994, as a Salaried Assistant Judge Advocate General in 1995, as a Recorder in 1999 and as a Magistrate of the Standing Civil Court, Germany in 2000.

District Judge David Peter Jenkins (70) was admitted as a Solicitor in 1963. He was appointed as a Deputy District Judge in 1980 and as a District Judge in 1983.
