NCC is to initiate collaboration with finish real estate company Citycon for the continued development and leasing of Mölndals Galleria.
NCC has commenced the development of Mölndal’s new inner city with the SCA building, currently under construction, and is now planning through this new collaboration to implement the next step – Mölndals Galleria. Together with Citycon, NCC will form a joint project company for the continued development and leasing of Mölndals Galleria. The Galleria will comprise approximately 70 stores covering slightly more than 32,000 square meters of floor space. The aim is to create a vibrant and attractive city center for both residents and visitors.
“We see a long-term and strong constellation in which Citycon’s expertise in concept development and contacts with retail players, together with NCC’s project development expertise, will form a strong team,” says Katarina Wåhlin Alm, Country Manager of NCC Property Development Sweden.
The project company will be owned equally by both partners and NCC will remain responsible for project development and construction. Construction of Mölndals Galleria is scheduled to commence in 2015. The Galleria is located in the northern part of Central Mölndal, and in addition to retail premises and offices, a large number of housing units will also be constructed.
