EHL Ingredients, a leading importer, supplier and blender of quality food ingredients, has overhauled its online presence and launched a new website at www.ehl-ingredients.co.uk.
The new site provides visitors with improvements in navigation, visual appearance and highlights key ingredient ranges from EHL’s 550-strong product portfolio, including conventional and organic formats.
The site is completely redesigned to be simple and easy to use and highlights the custom blending side of the business. EHL can create bespoke ingredient blends depending on specific requirements or preferences and also provides an extensive allergen-free range on request. It groups the ingredients under 16 main product headings; beans, lentils and peas, flakes and seeds, Mexican specialties, pastes, spices, herbs, dehydrated vegetables, mushrooms, purees, salts, dried fruits and nuts, mixed seasonings, oats, rice, tomato products and other. It also lists all products that are available in organic format – currently around 200 products.
The website has been visually enhanced featuring a new grey and white colour scheme with a chalkboard effect and a creative use of images of ingredients supplied by EHL.
The site is designed for food manufacturers and processors, co-packers and wholesalers, through to chefs and caterers. Users can see, at a glance, the product category then scroll through the list to select their required ingredient in conventional or organic format. Its simple architecture makes it easy for users to navigate and the site boasts engaging imagery and design.
With new features, such as a new online enquiry form so customers can submit their request via the website, the site also includes a news archive section, where news updates will be posted, as well as a newsletter subscription box, for visitors to sign up for news updates and company developments.
Tasneem Backhouse, sales director at EHL Ingredients says: “The new EHL Ingredients website really encompasses all our key product ranges, making it easy for people to find the ingredient they are looking for. The new format will save users time and increase efficiency. It was a challenge to effectively showcase our full range of products, as well as highlighting our custom blends and organic formats, but the new category system really speeds up the search process and will allow users to find their ingredient or make an enquiry with ease.
“The site reflects the freshness of our ingredients and the breadth of our range, from herbs, spices chillis and beans and seeds, through to dried fruits and nuts.
“We are very pleased with the new design and have had some great feedback from our customers already. The site presents our extensive product portfolio in an easy to find way, which will inform our customers of all of our products with the aim of securing new sales enquiries and opening up new markets for us, especially within custom blends, organic and allergen-free ingredients.”
The site was designed and built by e-moonlighting.com, London.
