new luxury chalet opens in chamonix

From the same owners and architects of the chalet voted no. 1 by the times last year chalet cragganmore comes chalet dalmore. opening this ski season 2013/14.

Chalet Cragg&More is a small hamlet of luxury chalets in Chamonix, Mont Blanc, designed by the award winning Architect Renaud Chevallier. CHALET DALMORE & CHALET CRAGGANMORE challenge the traditional ‘chocolate box’ style of small windows and instead invites the incredible mountain views inside with floor to ceiling windows and spectacular bespoke design features. With a contemporary boutique style interior it offers some of the very best accommodation in The Alps today and as such has featured heavily in both UK and international design and architectural publications. As a family operated group of chalets, Cragg&More can offer a fully dedicated private team that can provide an unrivalled level of service. Our concierge service prior to arrival will help you package a holiday that will best suit your needs whether it be simply booking a massage or organising a heli trip.

Chalet Dalmore is the latest addition to the Cragg&More Group. It reflects many of the luxury internal attributes associated with Cragganmore and architecturally continues to push a modern contemporary style. Chalet Dalmore aims to take this luxury brand higher with an even more spacious interior, incredible roof terrace and outdoor heated pool. Sitting in a 535m. square footage the space created in the open plan living area provides even more room to relax, socialise and take in the incredible Mont Blanc views and for some quiet time there are 4 ensuite double bedrooms and a master bedroom with a relaxing and dressing area.

CHALET CRAGGANMORE, from the breathtakingly vast Mont Blanc massif to the smallest helpful detail, our beautiful boutique chalet has it all. Built in 2008, Chalet Cragganmore takes full advantage of its spectacular location, allowing guests to make the most of both summer and winter in the majestic mountains. This distinctive chalet breaks the small-windowed ‘chocolate box’ mould. Instead it does credit to the stunning summer and winter landscapes, celebrating its prime location with atypically double-height windows and the abundance of natural, locally sourced materials used in its build. Owner Jennifer Martin commissioned third generation architect Renaud Chevallier for their shared belief that the chalet should actively participate in its surroundings, and allow the mountainous backdrop to shine.

She employed local artisans for the build, keen for the chalet to become part of the local community. Harmonious within its environment, Cragganmore makes the most of it both visually and environmentally. The bespoke touches to the house’s six-bedroomed, modern interior are clear. Each room has been personally designed, with furniture and fabrics that work in both seasons.

The considered details make visits a home-from-home, with that extra edge of luxury. Cragganmore is offered on both a self or fully catered basis, with a private chef to discuss menu requirements before guests arrive for their stay. Whichever arrangement suits, guestswill be welcomed by a host, acquainted with the chalet, and there is an in-resort team on 24-hour availability should any problems arise.

With the luxuries of space, design, location and service, Chalet Cragganmore’s mission statement is not only for guests to fall in love with their holiday home, but also in love with
