The directory leads hundreds of brides to quality wedding suppliers in their area, saving them time and money. The Wedding Gateway went live with their first site in Essex in March 2013 and since then the company has quickly grown boasting over 800 registered suppliers and over 20,000 hits a month.
Lou Wright from The Wedding Gateway says: ”We are delighted to have completed our network of websites. Our ethos is to put local brides in touch with local suppliers and we can now achieve this right across the country. We can’t wait for 2014 as we will be launching additional website features, bringing new planning tools and ideas to our local visitors, making the whole wedding planning process less stressful and more fun!” The website has proved invaluable for local brides…. Sarah who is getting married in Essex says “I am so happy I discovered Essex Wedding Supplier – I’ve been able to find lots of companies to get quotes from. The site is really easy to use as it highlights the areas of the county the supplier cover. I’ve found 4 suppliers from the site for my wedding and have been delighted with it” The Wedding Gateway is different to other wedding directories. They offer a unique service as each of the local sites are managed by area consultants who use associated Facebook pages to ensure local couples are matched to bespoke suppliers. They also offer no priority listings and use innovative listing circulation software, giving all suppliers regardless of size an equal opportunity to be seen. The hard work doesn’t stop here and they have set up links with Wedding Ideas magazine sharing their registered supplier photos for monthly articles, and are also proud sponsors of Wedding Ideas Awards for 2014. Lucy from Lucy’s Bakery loves the site. She says: “Brilliant wedding directory - so well run and an easy website to use. I'm very pleased to be part of The Wedding Gateway, it has brought me business and also got me featured in Wedding Ideas Magazine, which wouldn't have happened without this opportunity” As well as the local websites and facebook pages The Wedding Gateway have just launched a new online Wedding Magazine to showcase their registered suppliers and help inspire brides with new ideas. The magazine, like the websites doesn’t contain any adverts to ensure the bridal visitors have a great experience when visiting the site ….. well there is one advert, The Wedding Gateway are proud to support The Wedding Wishing Well Foundation by donating the back page of the online magazine to this registered charity to help drive awareness of the amazing work they do to help organise and fund weddings for terminally ill people. Launched in March 2013, The Wedding Gateway is a collection of local websites and associated Facebook pages covering all of the UK designed to bring local brides and wedding suppliers together. The website has 44 local sites and over 800 registered suppliers.
The company was launched by Lou Wright who has worked in the wedding industry for many years and her husband Matt Wright who has website experience. Lou knows the frustrations of trawling dozens of websites trying to finding exactly what you want, as well that something different. She set the company up to provide a one-stop-shop for suppliers and brides alike. All suppliers on the site are based in the local county and each listing highlights the specific areas they cover, to help brides find those that are nearest to then. The Wedding Gateway network is proud to be different from other sites, as they have made a conscious decision not to include sponsored links, adverts or priority listings. They want to keep the site clean and easy to navigate with just the important information brides are looking for. They also want to give all suppliers, regardless of size, an equal opportunity to be seen. All listings are of equal size and are randomly allocated an order each time the site is visited, allowing talented individuals and bespoke suppliers to be showcased.
