event is to take place on Easter Saturday, 30th March and is aimed
at children of all ages.
It will be held at Bere Farm, Lytchett Matravers, Poole where there will be free activities and goody bags plus competitions and face painting to name but a few!
Although in a rural location, the farm is only minutes away from the hustle and bustle of the town centre of Poole so it’s an ideal retreat during the busier months of the year.
Dorset Charcuterie will also be supporting the event from their new premises at the farm with demonstrations and mouthwatering offerings from the butchery and delicatessen. They have been “Highly commended” by the Countryside Alliance and offer regular events throughout the year - details of which can be found on their website.
The Barn Café will be open, so once you’ve done your shopping at the deli and the kids are playing happily at Nature’s Way the parents can relax in the café for a lunchtime wind down. Even if the weather is a little unreliable, Nature’s Way have a “play tunnel” for such eventualities.
Natures Way for Kids hosts children’s parties and runs workshops throughout the year, keeping the kids entertained in school holidays.
Cath Morford, owner of Nature’s Way for Kids said: “We are very excited about our first Open day and with the support of the other businesses at Bere Farm will be offering fully-interactive and fun things for all the family. Our activities are learning based with a clear focus on gardening, wildlife and nature themes so our Easter Open Day will certainly be an event to remember and not to be missed.
She added, “With the educational background to these activities the aim is for children to learn a couple of new things in the process while still having fun – but don’t tell them that! So, get your wellies at the ready and we look forward to welcoming you on Saturday 30th March.”

Nature’s Way for Kids was formed by Catherine Morford, a successful garden designer based in Poole, Dorset.
With the garden design business having a strong emphasis on sustainable and wildlife-friendly gardening, Cath developed the business to include a ‘Kids’ initiative. They offer fully-interactive, fun activities based on gardening, wildlife and nature themes.
The main objective of Nature’s Way for Kids is to encourage children to develop their knowledge about the natural environment and healthy living but to have lots of fun in the process.
All party helpers are from a child-care background and are CRB checked to ensure that the kids are in a safe environment.
In addition, they also now regularly hold workshops around the Poole and Bournemouth area which often coincide with school holidays and are normally 1-2 hours duration.
Activities vary according to the time of year, but examples include building a bug box, making bird cake, planting veggies and sowing seeds of nectar-rich flowers, with something to take home at the end.
