Customers at Hayes, Middlesex were treated to a live performance from Claire Richards and Lee Latchford-Evans from newly reformed pop phenomenon Steps. The aficionados of the perfect pop cover performed the classic song ‘Kung Fu Fighting’, featured on the Sainsbury’s exclusive music edition, as well as a couple of their biggest hits. Claire and Lee then encouraged Sainsbury’s customers and colleagues to take part in karaoke and demonstrated some dance moves for all.
‘Pandamonium’ is set to continue throughout the week as Po spreads his ‘awesomeness’ across Sainsbury’s stores nationwide, giving out Panda ears and masks to celebrate the release of the #1 animated movie of the year, KUNG FU PANDA 2.
Richard Crampton, Sainsbury’s Head of Entertainment said: “Our exclusive music edition of KUNG FU PANDA 2 contains a number of covers, so who better to ask than Steps to mark the launch. We’ve been working hard to secure the exclusive and the result is fantastic value for our customers on one of this year’s biggest titles.”
The #1 animated movie of the year, KUNG FU PANDA 2, DreamWorks Animation SKG, Inc.’s spectacular follow up to the Academy Award®-nominated original, earned more than $650 million at the global box office, delighting viewers of all ages with its engaging story.
