Public IT has announced version 3 of its best-selling ISO/IEC 27001 document template set

Press Release   •   Jul 31, 2013 14:26 BST

Public IT has announced version 3 of its best-selling ISO/IEC 27001 document template set, now in use in over twenty countries worldwide. The new version includes 17 brand new documents and
builds on the experience of its customers in implementing the ISO/IEC 27001 standard “the easy way”, starting from a comprehensive, pre-written information security management system (ISMS).

The document template set includes all of the policies, plans, processes and procedures required by the information security standard together with guidance notes for their implementation. The structure of the ISMS and the headings within each document map directly onto the standard and mean that in many cases only minor changes are needed before the documents can be put into productive use. Easily editable using any recent version of office the document templates have the potential to
shorten project lead times by many weeks and ensure that no important areas are forgotten.

"In an economy where time and cost-containment is at a premium, the ISO/IEC 27001 document template set enables agile organisations to achieve certification to the standard quickly and cost-effectively. This is increasingly seen as the best way for forward-thinking suppliers to prove to customers that their information is protected and that their services are safe to use." says Ken Holmes, Principal Consultant at Public IT

Public IT welcomed the expected release by the ISO of an updated information security standard in late 2013/early 2014 and emphasised that all customers would receive a free upgrade to the document templates shortly after the new standard becomes available, supported by a free email help desk.

PublicIT produce a series of document templates to make implementation of International Standards easier and quicker.  ISO/IEC 20000, ISO/IEC 27001 and ISO22301. We can provide a company with a complete set of template documents, spreadsheets, process flowcharts, presentations and other media that have already been used in successful certification at many organisations, large and small, in-house and external, including some of the biggest outsourcers. When starting on the road to standards compliance it can be a very time-consuming process for a company to identify all of the required documents, create them, ensure that all of the required points are covered and integrate them all into a consistent Management System. We have been through all the hard work in analysing and understanding the standards and then creating high quality, fit for purpose sets of document templates, specifically focussed on the individual requirements of each standard.
