Some people are better than others at sticking to a skincare routine and PURE Spa & Beauty, the UK’s Day Spa of the Year 2012, has identified a need to educate the Scottish public on how to get the best out of their routines, and reveal the real truth behind some skincare myths.
With 10 years in the beauty and spa industry PURE Spa & Beauty has developed a lot of knowledge on all things skincare while working with internationally renowned British Skincare Brands REN and Elemis. During October they will be communicating the Good Skincare message digitally and in their 4 locations across Scotland.
October is the perfect time to be launching this campaign as the change of seasons from Summer to Autumn can cause issues for peoples’ skin as the wind, harsh cold and central heating can confuse skin and leave it in a delicate condition.
Elemis and REN, two of the biggest luxury skincare brands in Britain, are proud to be supporting the Good Skincare Campaign with advice and Elemis SkinLab events taking place in PURE Spas throughout the month. The Elemis SkinLab technology uses clinical imaging to reveal any evidence of sun damage, blocked pores or colour variation, and creates a personalised prescription based on the results and a lifestyle questionnaire. PURE Spa & Beauty are hosting SkinLab events in Aberdeen, Glasgow and Edinburgh that will give clients a chance to get the SkinLab skin analysis and a spa booster facial for £45 (redeemable against products purchased on the treatment day).
Throughout October, PURE Spa & Beauty are giving clients the chance to revive their skincare routine with their October Revive Face & Body Package. The package includes an Infra-Red Sauna Detox, Swedish Massage and a tailored Elemis Facial with Pro-Collagen eye treatment for only £55. “The best way to begin your skincare overhaul is to have a facial, it gives you a chance to identify your skin type, learn how to treat your skin type step by step and get the therapists knowledge on the products best for you” says Becky Woodhouse, Director and Co-Founder of PURE Group.

NOTES FOR EDITORS
PURE Spa -
PURE Spa‘s concept is to enable men and women to make beauty and spa treatments a part of everyday life to improve their health, happiness and well-being. This is achieved through a policy of inclusiveness, accessibility and convenience, relaxation at PURE is never far away!
PURE was established in 2002 by Becky Woodhouse, 37, a chartered accountant with an avid interest in the beauty industry combined with the dream of running her own business.
Becky noticed a gap in the market for beauty treatments for time-starved individuals. This led to PURE’s first salon on Lothian Road in Edinburgh.
The business developed well and 2005 saw the opening of Edinburgh’s largest day spa – PURE Spa Ocean Terminal. The business again took a leap forward in December 2007 when PURE expanded into the Glasgow market with PURE Spa Silverburn.
In May 2010, PURE moved north, opening the group’s fourth PURE Spa in Aberdeen’s Union Square, quickly becoming the Group’s flagship spa offering exclusive treatments and products to the North East such as the Rasul heat therapy and Elemis spa treatments.
Now PURE’s reputation as leader in the Scottish and National Spa Industry is strengthened by beating the Sanctuary and Dorchester spas in London to be crowned ‘UK Day Spa of the Year 2012’.
This year, PURE Spa will be celebrating its 10th birthday which marks a huge milestone for the company.
