LONDON, UK, 11th February 2013: Rightster, the video distribution and monetisation specialist, today announces the appointment of Scott Leishman as Global VP of Talent and Resourcing. Leishman’s appointment will support Rightster’s growth trajectory as the company continues to expand its presence both in the UK and internationally and intensifies its focus on identifying and attracting top talent.
Leishman has over thirteen years experience in the recruitment industry, working for some of the biggest brands in the world. He joins Rightster from Skype, where he built and managed a global recruitment team responsible for growing Skype’s Product and Engineering department by over 500 people in just two years. Previously he held a senior role at Google London where he was responsible for scaling teams in a number of its European engineering offices. Prior to this, Leishman held broadcast recruitment roles at Omni Resources and e-Search which will stand him in good stead at Rightster. Before embarking on his recruitment career, Leishman was a professional Rugby player until injury ended his career prematurely.
The appointment of Scott Leishman follows several key hires across Rightster’s senior team in recent months, including three new hires from ITV – Robin Pembrooke as VP of Product & Solutions, Jonathan Bates as Director of Content and Partnerships and Ben Freeman as Head of Rightster Studios – as well as John Dillon who joined as VP marketing from Alcatel-Lucent and Donagh O’Malley from Google TV as Global VP Platforms and General Manager of Rightster US.

The rapid expansion of Rightster’s senior team is indicative of the exponential growth the company has experienced, having grown its team three-fold in the past year and now delivering more than 150 million YouTube views per month.
