According to unnamed sources, Apple is planning to replace its current 30-PIN dock connector to a 19-PIN Dock connector on the new iPhone and other Apple devices. If this is indeed true, what will happen to older iPhone 4S and other iPhone devices?
The said rumor may be attributed to current European regulations that require mobile phones to have a standardized micro-USB connector. Back in 2009, Apple committed to it. But then again, we all know that it did not happen.
So, if the rumor is indeed true, will the new iPhone due to launch this Fall bear the new 19-PIN Dock connector? Let’s just all wait and see.
