Fire safety product retailer Safelincs has just launched a database of videos on its website. The video clips not only display individual products being installed, tested and maintained but also provide answers to some of the most common questions that customers ask.
Safelincs believes that customer service is not just about taking calls and having speedy despatch; it is also about giving the customer all relevant useful information at the click of a button. Videos are not only a great way to explain a product’s features but they also guide a customer through potentially tricky processes, such as testing a smoke alarm, replacing a products batteries or linking radio-interlinked units to one another.
“All our products come with detailed printed instructions,” explains Harry Dewick-Eisele, managing director, Safelincs, “but the videos reinforce these and give our customers that warm feeling they are doing everything correctly.”
