Last year Samsung came out with the Galaxy Ace, this year Samsung came out with its sequel the Galaxy Ace 2. The Galaxy Ace 2 boasts a decent screen size with excellent resolution. It comes in with a dual-core processor and a decent 5MP rear shutter. Oh, not to mention that it comes in with a front-facing camera (VGA) too. If you think about it, you can’t ask for more if you are looking for a budget phone with excellent features. This is in fact, a superb budget phone with excellent features.
When it comes to the phone’s design, there’s nothing extra-ordinary about it. It comes in with the typical Samsung black plastic with a patterned tapered back. The phone’s rounded corners add a bit of class to it. The phone may not be an eye catcher like its once famous sibling the Samsung Galaxy S2, but this handset will fit your hands perfectly. I believe that it speaks more than aesthetic appearance.
The phone’s power and lock button is strategically placed on the phone’s right side (just under your thumb). You can operate this handset with just one hand. This button along with the phone’s volume rocker and its physical home key will give you that easy to operate feel. You will also find a hot-swap micro SD card slot on the phone’s right side. This is protected with a cute and yet decent plastic flap.
The phone ships with a decent 3.8” PLS LCD display screen. For a budget phone, this handset offers you above average features. Colors are vibrant on this handset. Even if you are under direct sunlight, the phone is bright enough so you can see everything even in different viewing angles. It comes in with a 480 x 800 pixels for its resolution and you will also get 246ppi for the phone’s pixel density. This is another above average feature that you won’t find in other pocket-friendly phones.
