Two companies, Samsung and HTC have created these models clearly for business users. Based on powerful Windows Mobile 6.5, Samsung OmniaPro is a solid set taking full grip over communication and messaging. A single touch on the screen of HTC Touch Pro2 is enough to trigger a face to face on screen interaction following an email. This spontaneity effectively brings communicators close to conclude a business fast. Even the single interface allows bringing multi-party conferencing easy even when traveling.
OmniaPro houses 2.62 inch TFT screen of 320 x 320 pixel. The set is capable providing three home screens through the UI called Samsung WizPro. The users can manage a large number of information and features like contacts, news, social networking, favourites, and other short cuts. The Touch Pro2 features 3.6 inch TFT resistive touch screen of 480 x 800 pixels and analyses 65 K colours. Pro2 has full QWRTY keypad. Finger swipe navigation comes from TouchFlo 3D. Display of HTC Touch is supported with Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate and handwriting recognition.
In contrast, OmniaPro permits SMS, MMS, emails and chatting on Window Messenger. Moreover, it goes for automatic setting of emails with Gmail, Hotmail, Yahoo mail, EarthLink and AOL etc. The 2G network is GSM UMTS dual-band European and Quad band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz for USA. Built-in Memory of 270 MB can be expanded using microSD/microSDHC cards. It features 2.0 Stereo Bluetooth, USB and Wi-Fi 802.11b/802.11g connectivity.
The HTC Touch Pro2 supports both 2G and 3G networks. The 2G network is on GSM 850/900/1800/1900 and 3G network on HSDPA 900 / 2100. Connectivity features is offered by Bluetooth v2.1 with A2DP, mini USB and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g. The memory is 512 MB ROM and 288 MB RAM, which can be expanded by using microSD card. This provides a reasonable space for phonebook with unlimited entries and the facility of Photocall.
Both go stoutly on connectivity features with a little bit of extras here and there making the difference.
