Simply Scuba are excited with the launch of their new Xcel wetsuit range and are confident that they are going to be a big hit in the diving industry. Divers purchasing one of these wetsuits can be sure not only of their comfort but of their environmentally friendly materials too, knowing that the suits are made from recycled materials.
The Xcel Thermoflex collection consists of both male and female suits in a range of neoprene thicknesses to offer greater insulation for the cooler waters and and less insulation for the warmer waters.
Xcel care about the environment and have a real green initiative when it comes to the technologies they use in their suits, like the Ultrastretch Bamboo technology which features Xcel's Bamboo infused water-resistant Dual Level Thermobarrier lining which is made from recycled materials. The Bamboo is a great insulator so you can be sure it will keep you warm and resists moisture and odour keeping your wetsuit fresh time after time. Bamboo is also super-stretchy so it won't restrict your freedom of movement when you're diving.
Although made from recycled materials, the final result of the Thermoflex wetsuit looks very similar to a conventinally produced wetsuit. The body is black with different colour side panels depending on the thickness and gender of the suits. The Thermoflex has a back entry system in the conventional way and you will notice few seams in the wrists to prevent water entering. There are stitched in, fabric knee-pads and the zips at the ankle provide extra ease of donning and doffing and also have an ankle flap below them to prevent them from opening under heavy duress when finning.
The upper body in the Thermoflex wetsuits have a higher pile for core warmth and the lower body and sleeves have a lower pile to offer maximum performance. The seams on the wetsuits are quadruple-glued and blind-stitched to offer a better seal against the water and stress areas are reinforced to maximise the longevity of the suit.
