Skillweb to Host Panel Debate at Care Show Birmingham

Press Release   •   Oct 11, 2012 17:28 BST

Skillweb will be hosting a panel debate at Care Show Birmingham to discuss how care organisations can optimise productivity to make the most of available resources and better meet the needs of the community.

The Care Show panel will bring together key decision makers, influencers and commentators within the sector to outline what opportunities exist for resource allocation to reduce administrative processes, manage appointments and increase patient facing times. It will also consider if the latest innovations and smarter working practices will lead to accurate and improved funding on the ground, and if technological advances can actually help deliver higher levels of care.

Trevor Snaith from Skillweb, who will be chairing the debate commented: “The issues surrounding community care provision over the past year has been well documented, so this panel discussion is designed to stimulate debate amongst industry leaders about how best to drive improvement within the sector. We want to better understand how organisations can achieve higher levels of service delivery at a time when community requirements are increasing and budgets are being squeezed.”

The content of the debate will be of interest to a wide range of attendees such as domiciliary care organisations, adult social care services, community nurses, midwifery services, on-call doctors, mental health clinicians and local government officers. Everyone who attends the discussion will also receive a copy of Skillweb’s whitepaper Care in Crisis that looks at how mobile technologies can now help organisations to adapt their workforces to enable them to effectively implement new government policies.

The debate will be held at 1pm on the first day of The Care Show, which is taking place on 13th and 14th November at the NEC in Birmingham.

Anyone interested in attending the debate, being part of the panel or contributing questions for discussion should contact Skillweb or email Trevor Snaith, Head of Marketing at trevor.snaith@skillweb.co.uk
