Dynamic company, Sniffy Wiffy, has now gained recognition as a Social Enterprise from Social Enterprise UK. The social mission behind this Cambridge-based company is to increase the number of ladies and gents who know about – and self-check for – the signs & symptoms of breast and testicular cancer. They also donate to charity from every product sold.
Sniffy Wiffy is the first company to bring the fight against breast and testicular cancer into bathrooms everywhere by offering homemade body lotions and scrubs, labelled with guides showing the steps involved in performing self-examinations. On discovering that breast checks are best performed when skin is slightly slippery, such as while applying body lotion, Sniffy Wiffy felt these were the perfect products on which to incorporate what could prove to be life-saving information.
Sniffy Wiffy have recently launched the opportunity for anyone over the age of 18 to become involved as a Brand Ambassador – or Sniffette – as the company likes to call them. Sniffettes all over the country will showcase the brand at home parties, local events and via social media, earning commission and ‘points for perks’ from every sale they generate.
Founder of Sniffy Wiffy, Sarah Parkins, explains “as a working mum-of-two I am all too familiar with the difficult juggling act of work and motherhood. We wanted to offer not only mums, but anyone with commitments, a truly flexible way of earning money. We do not set any sales targets so Sniffettes are free to dip their toe in and do the odd event every now and then or, alternatively, create a full-time business for themself should they so wish. We want to empower people to run their own business and at the same time, do amazing things for their family, friends and local community in terms of raising breast and testicular cancer awareness and, of course, funds for charity”.
