Southeastern is urging its passengers to check before they travel on routes affected by the world athletics championships starting this weekend.
The IAAF World Championships will take place at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford from tomorrow Friday 4 August until Sunday 13 August.
London St Pancras, Ebbsfleet International and Stratford International are likely to be much busier than normal with people travelling in from Kent, metropolitan London and other areas to Stratford. With large numbers of spectators expected to attend, Southeastern will be providing extra services during the championships.
We are advising passengers to travel outside of busy peak times if possible, and to expect queuing systems at some of our busier stations. To avoid the queues they are encouraged to buy our best priced tickets in advance from ticket offices or online. If the weather is hot, passengers are also advised to carry a bottle of water when travelling.
