Copenhagen, Denmark, june 24 2015 - HBO Nordic and TDC Group, announced today a partnership that brings streaming of premium TV-series, films and documentaries to TDC TV customers and YouSee TV Plus Customers later this summer.
HBO is the producer of some of the largest and most popular TV-series to date, eg. Game of Thrones, True Detective and Sex and the City. Cheif Content Officer, Christian Philip Morgan explained why this partnership carries such importance:
"We are very excited about our new partnership with HBO Nordic as it is another step to fortify TDC's position as the preferred provider of home entertainment to Danish consumers. We provide customers with all the content they desire all in one place and HBO Nordic delivers just that; premium TV-series and film."
Making streaming mainstream
Looking at media today, it is easy to assume that streaming has reached all Danish homes however, this is far from the case. According to the latest Media development analysis from the Danish Broadcast Corporation, it estimates that streaming equivalents 17% of the total TV viewing.
"It is important to acknowledge that streaming entertainment on the big screen is still not mainstream. It is our task as market leader to ensure that all consumers get aboard digitalisation and making streaming of entertainment across screens easy for everyone. Today, we address another part of this journey with the HBO Nordic partnership", Cheif Content Officer Christian Philip Morgan said.
The HBO Nordic experience will be available across screens; TV, web, tablet and smartphone.
