The Blackberry 9780 Bold Boasts Strong Sales Figures

The Blackberry 9780 Bold has proven to be a popular handset since its release in November 2010.  It ticks all the boxes and provides decent levels of functionality in terms of entertainment, connectivity and productivity.

 

The handset measures 109x 60x 40 mm and weighs in at a lightweight and pocket friendly 122 g.  The TFT screen measures 2.44 inches and has a pixel configuration of 480x 360 in which up to 65K colours can be displayed.  A full QWERTY keyboard is provided so that users can quickly and easily enter text composing emails or text messages.  In order to navigate the Blackberry OS 6.0 user interface, an optical track pad is located at the base of the screen which is thumb operated.

The Blackberry 9780 Bold comes with a selection of connectivity options.  GPRS & EDGE are on hand to provide the handset with its connections to the appropriate cellular networks when out and about.  In order to browse the Internet, an HSDPA connection is utilised in areas where 3G coverage is available.  Alternatively, users can gain a faster and more reliable connection by utilising local wireless networks thanks to Wi-Fi connectivity.  Bluetooth and micro USB connections are included allowing the handset to be connected to compatible hardware devices whereby tasks such as backing up multimedia files and contact information can be carried out.

 

A 5 megapixel digital camera is provided, making the Blackberry 9780 Bold a highly competent cameraphone.  The camera operates at 2592x 1944 pixels and boasts Autofocus and LED flash to overcome the obstacle of low lighting conditions.  An alternative method of image capture is available in the form of video capture.

 

The Blackberry OS 6.0 operating system works alongside a 624 MHZ processor to provide an easy to use versatile user experience.  The handset comes with several different entertainment and productivity devices as standard, along with a number of different messaging formats including SMS, MMS, E mail etc.
