The AHDB Beef and Lamb trade website has been enhanced to provide visitors with more useful tools and resources than ever before.
The site, which recently celebrated a record number of monthly visitors, is set to be even more popular with businesses operating in the beef and lamb industry, as a new online marketing resource is launched and several sections of the website have been improved.
One of the most exciting updates is the launch of AHDB Beef and Lamb’s new point-of-sale design tool, the Point-of-Sale Hub.
The Point-of-Sale Hub has been developed with entrepreneurial retailers in mind; enabling them to design and tailor their own professional quality point-of-sale material.
The easy-to-use Point-of-Sale Hub, which is accessible to anyone operating in the independent sector, including butchers and farm shops, has been developed using the latest software and enables users to create personalised posters and cabinet tickets.
Registered users can select from a range of design templates that are available on the system. Following step-by-step instructions, they can then be personalised with a company logo, a marketing or promotional message, different colour themes as well as high-quality beef or lamb recipe photography from AHDB Beef and Lamb’s online Image Library.
Once users have designed their poster or cabinet ticket, they confirm their order by paying a modest transaction fee to cover the cost of materials and postage. The Point-of-Sale Hub will then generate print-ready artwork which is professionally processed, printed and in the case of cabinet tickets, laminated, before being dispatched to the postal address provided.
As well as creating bespoke materials, registered users can also order from a wide range of existing point-of-sale items produced by AHDB Beef and Lamb to help promote quality beef and lamb. Items include recipe booklets, recipe cards, seasonal posters, range posters and full promotional kits.
Business development manager for AHDB Beef and Lamb, Dick van Leeuwen, said: “We’re excited to launch the Point-of-Hub – it’s a fantastic marketing tool that gives independent retailers the ability to create customised and professional looking promotional material that will benefit their business and showcase their products.
“As well as having access to the high-quality templates, Quality Standard Mark (QSM) Scheme members will be able to order from our selection of existing point-of-sale material, giving them easy access to a variety of inspiring cuts, recipes and seasonal ideas.”
In addition to the launch of the Point-of-Sale Hub, the hugely popular Image Library has been expanded to include AHDB Beef and Lamb’s collection of raw meat images and now includes almost 6,000 beef, lamb and veal raw meat photographs.
The Image Library features images in ‘Raw’, ‘Cooked’ and ‘Landscape’ categories and enables users to download either high resolution versions for use in print, such as posters and leaflets, or low resolution versions for use on digital formats such as a website. High resolution images will cost £2 per download, while low resolution images will be charged at £1 each.
To ensure visitors to the AHDB Beef and Lamb trade website can find all of the content-rich business tools, AHDB Beef and Lamb has also enhanced the navigation system. This enables users to browse through the site’s main categories with ease, highlighting useful content. The site’s main sections are: ‘News’, ‘Resources’, ‘Product Ranges’, ‘Reports & Publications’, ‘Butchery’, ‘Quality Standard Mark’, ‘Recipes’, ‘Halal’ and ‘Contacts’.
