HTC have launched their first smartphones of 2012 and the range certainly looks very impressive. The HTC One X is the flagship model in this new range and combines some excellent specification with a stylish design. As you would expect a range of accessories have also been released to coincide with the launch of this model so we take a look at what additional products benefit this excellent handset.
The HTC One X is one of the most powerful multi media devices available thanks to its quad core processor and large internal storage capacity. Multi media fans can purchase a new accessory for this phone that enables them to make more use of content that they have stored on the phone. The new Media Link HD is a superb new device that enables users to view content from their phone on a HD compatible television. Similar devices on the market are able to stream DNLA material such as photographs and video but this new HTC accessory is a little different. By using wireless HDMI technology the user can view anything that can be displayed on the phones screen on a television. This means that in addition to photographs and video footage you can view videos from Youtube and other applications that are supported. One of the really impressive features that we discovered was that you can actually perform a different task on the One X handset without interrupting the content that you are viewing on the television. The Media Link HD will cost around £79 and should be available in April.
There are also a range of more basic accessories being released for the HTC One Xwhich will appeal to many users of this new model. Two different cradles will be launched to hold the phone when it is being used in different scenarios. A car cradle will connect to a 12 volt power supply which is present in most modern cars so the phone can be charged while being used. When you mount the handset on this new cradle the phone automatically defaults to a new interface which is more user friendly for people who are behind the wheel. Larger icons are displayed on the screen and the Navigation application is also easier to access. Another useful accessory for drivers is the new Stereoclip which connects to a 3.5mm auxiliary input socket and enables users to stream music from their One X to their in car stereo system without the need for wires. A desktop cradle option will also be released so that material from your device is easier to view when you are in a working environment. In addition to these official HTC accessories consumers can also expect to see a large number of products produced by other manufacturers. These are likely to include a large selection of protective cases and a range of wireless headsets.
The new HTC One X is a very impressive new handset and the appeal of this model is boosted by some excellent optional accessories. A number of in car options are perfect for people who travel around frequently and the new Media Link HD is perfect for viewing and listening to material on a home television.
