The Charles Wells pub is run by Richard and Karen Bray and their family, with their son Daniel heading up the kitchen. The coveted AA Rosette, which is only awarded to around 10% of UK restaurants, was given to the team after they impressed an AA Inspector with the skill, care and excellent quality ingredients which go into their menu.
Richard and Karen Bray said of the achievement: “We are exceptionally pleased to gain this recognition. Our son and head chef Daniel and his team are really passionate about producing great quality food in a relaxed and informal pub setting. We all really proud of the service we offer at The Narrow Boat and the rosette award is just the icing on the cake!”
Peter Wells, Managing Director of Charles Wells Pub Company said of the achievement: “This accolade is a real credit to the hard work and dedication of the team to providing their customers with exceptional food and consistently high standards. I am delighted to see this has been formally recognised with a Rosette which is very well deserved and I hope will encourage even more people to sample the superb menu on offer at The Narrow Boat”.
