The smart artificial intelligence revolution. Explore software that can recognize patterns in digital representations of sounds, images, & data.
The Deep Learning Innovation Summit taking place in San Francisco on 29-30 January will bring together 250 technologists, entrepreneurs, researchers, and industry leaders to explore advancements in deep learning and their potential practical applications in business and society.
What is deep learning and why should you care? Deep learning is a set of algorithms used to create contextual understanding in machines. For example, it is the process of teaching machines to think more contextually to recognize specific features that make up an image, or about the relationship between words and how they fit together to form phrases. Recently, deep learning systems have been able to out perform humans in pattern recognition tests.
Practical applications include advancements in drug research, security, automation, fraud detection, mapping and manufacturing.

The sectors and areas of application we'll be covering include:
Confirmed speakers include:
Vincent Spruyt, Head of Deep Learning at Argus Labs. Vincent pursued his PhD research in Computer Vision and is an expert on the development of self-learning and context-sensitive algorithms. Argus Labs experiment with profiling algorithms, deep learning and machine intelligence that will ultimately give systems the capability of understanding human behaviour and emotions as contextual items, so that one day we may work and live in a better world.
Charles Cadieu, a Postdoctoral Researcher at MIT, is an entrepreneur and neuroscientist who brings cutting-edge vision algorithms to market and seeks to increase our knowledge of the human visual system. His neuroscience work covers the full spectrum of visual processing, from low-level image representation through high-level object recognition.
Quoc Le is research scientist at Google Brain. At Google, Quoc works on large scale deep learning. He will discuss his work’s breakthroughs in object recognition, speech recognition and language understanding, and how vector representations can be used to solve word analogy or translate unknown words between languages.
Roberto Pieraccini, Director of Advanced Conversational Technologies at Jibo, is a world recognized expert in the fields of speech recognition, natural language, dialog, and human-machine multi-modal interaction. He has worked at prestigious research institutions like CSELT in Italy, and Bell Labs, AT&T Labs, and IBM Research in the US. He is now responsible for the interaction technology of Jibo, the first commercial home robot.
Attendees will include: CTOs, CIOs, Research Scientists, Data Scientists, Big Data Analysts, Software Engineers
