CAMBRIDGE, UK – 11 November 2010 – Zeus Technology, the only pure software-based application traffic management (Application Delivery Controller) company, announces today that TIS, one of Japan’s leading Systems Integrators, will be including Zeus within its newly launched private Cloud service, offering an established software load balancing solution to its large customer base.
The partnership, endorsed by and handled through Sumisho Computer Systems Corporation (SCS), will allow TIS to offer Zeus Load Balancer within its new private Cloud service. TIS customers can lease Zeus software on a monthly subscription model, which allows customers to simply pay for what they use each month. With minimal upfront costs, customers will have the ability to scale their web infrastructure up and down very quickly, providing the flexibility they need as their business requirements change.
Shu Tabuchi, General Manager, IT Platform Services Planning & Development Dept., IT Platform Services Business Div, TIS, explains, “As innovation is at the heart of our business, our IT business model needs to adapt to exceed customer expectations and meet changing market requirements. We have partnered with Zeus, to provide a sophisticated software load balancing solution within our private Cloud. We were impressed with the flexible, pay-as-you-go licensing fee Zeus offers, which makes it a very cost-effective option for our customers. Other major advantages for us include ease of deployment, an extensive application programming interface (API) and a seamless upgrade path to the more advanced traffic management solutions Zeus can offer.”
Fumio Miura, General Manager, IT Product & Service Unit, IP Network Div. SCS, adds, “We recommended Zeus to TIS because unlike proprietary hardware appliances, Zeus software load balancing solutions sit natively within the Cloud. In addition, Zeus’ unique flexible subscription scheme can seamlessly integrate within a Service Provider’s business model, making it a very easy, cost-effective solution. Zeus is a natural fit for TIS.”
Paul Brennan, CEO, Zeus Technology, comments, “We are seeing increasing growth in Asia Pacific for Cloud and Hosting Providers to offer software-based web traffic management solutions as part of their service portfolio. Our software heritage coupled with our flexible pricing model, will allow us to address this market and strengthen our presence in this region. Through SCS, we look forward to providing a new value-added service to TIS customers, by ensuring their infrastructure can scale on-demand within the Cloud and their web applications are fast, secure and continuously available.”
