Tower Hamlets, London Borough of (London): Get your family together during Parents' Week

Press Release   •   Oct 19, 2010 12:36 BST

With 23 Children’s Centres in Tower Hamlets, there’s so much parents, children and families can do during Parents’ Week (Monday 18 to Sunday 24 October).

If you’ve never been to a Children’s Centre before, Parents’ Week is the ideal time to find your nearest centre and see what all the fuss is about.

Parents’ Week is run by the Family and Parenting Institute and is an annual celebration of the valuable work organisations do with families across the UK.

The Institute is an independent charity that works with parents nationally to ensure their views are heard and are reflected in government policy.

This year, the theme for Parents’ Week is ‘Knowing Families: how well do you know yours?’.

Various activities will be on offer throughout the week to encourage parents and children to find out more about each other.

Contact Tower Hamlets Council’s Family Information Service on 020 7364 6495 orcsf@towerhamlets.gov.uk to find out what’s happening near you, or search for activities online atwww.towerhamlets.gov.uk/fis
