Built in HTML5, it allows users to get see the history of Toyota’s racing heritage, read news and reviews via social media channels, and even request an e-Brochure or book a test-drive.
This work follows the agency’s previous campaign surrounding the pre-launch of the car at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The mobile optimized site was developed by glue Isobar’s specialist mobile teams and launches on the 17th August. Users can access the site on Android or iPhone at toyota.co.uk/m/gt86, where they can also preview the TV ad. The app is part of Toyota’s on-going mobile innovation strategy.
Wayne Brown, Managing Director, glue Isobar commented; “The GT86 is a hugely important car that re-writes the rule book. To match this we wanted to create a mobile experience where clever use of technology and understanding of users, would come together to push the boundaries of what you could do in the space.”
