The invites have been sent to press. HTC will be hosting an event on the 25th of March in New York City, wherein the Taiwanese phone maker is expected to lift the lid on the HTC M8 (HTC One 2), follow-up to the HTC One. Despite the official unveiling of the M8 being just around the corner, the leaks still keep coming in. The latest leak shows us a press shot of HTC’s upcoming flagship.

Twitter account @evleaks (as always) is responsible for this latest leak. It tweets, “HTC M8, protected.” This is followed by the press shot of the M8 encased in a protective casing. Although the design is somewhat masked in the protective casing, you can still make out design, resembling its predecessor, the HTC One.
Word on the street is, the HTC M8 will come with a 5-inch screen with 1080p (full HD) resolution, a twin-sensor camera, dual speakers, a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and support for a microSD card. It’s a dead cert that the HTC One 2 will run Android 4.4 (KitKat) and will likely have the new Sense 6.0 UI.
