Twingly launches German Medienbewachen.de in order to give a full overview about tools for social media monitoring

Press Release   •   Nov 03, 2011 07:59 GMT

Today Twingly launches the new website Medienbewachen.de, an overview about all tools available on the German market that help monitoring and analysing social media. Since the Medienbewachen.de is a wiki, all participants can contribute with information about their tools as well as update their existing information.

At the time of the launch, already more than a dozen suppliers present their social media monitoring tools on Medienbewachen.de. During the weeks to come more suppliers will upload information about their tools and services.

”The entire industry will benefit from customers being able to make a safe and simple choice when it comes to their preferred tool of social media monitoring,” Martin Källström, CEO of Twingly says. “Our initiative was met with really positive and partly even enthusiastic feedback when we approached suppliers for social media monitoring tools about Medienbewachen.de. They shared our experience that there is a lack of an overview about the different tools available, and that it is almost impossible to compare them in a simple way.” Anja Rauch, Business Development Manager at Twingly adds “Over a year ago we launched with Mediebevakare.se a similar wiki with the same purpose for Swedish social media monitoring tools. It proved to be a great success, and I am excited to see Medienbewachen.de developing into the same useful reference site for the German speaking market.”

From today onwards every supplier of social media monitoring services is welcome to register on Medienbewachen.de and upload details about their services. The purpose of Medienbewachen is to provide as much help as possible to companies that are looking for tools to monitor or analyse social media.

“The possibility for suppliers to upload and manage their information on Medienbewachen.de means that this will most likely lead to having useful objective and informative presentations about all tools”, says Martin Källström. “All information is provided in a wiki where users can change content if a presentation is for example written too sales orientated. That means Medienbewachen.de as a wiki is a more trustworthy source of information for everyone.”
