Nearly 200 industry representatives from across Britain attended a seminar at the Holiday Inn Bloomsbury yesterday to showcase the tourism potential of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The event was hosted by Visit London, VisitBritain and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
Visit London’s Chief Executive Sally Chatterjee said:
“The London Games are a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the tourism industry to showcase its product to the world and raise standards at the same time. But it’s important to understand the complexities of those opportunities and just how to get involved. We’re now less than 1,000 days away from the Opening Ceremony and we need to make sure we’re at the top of our game if 2012 is to be the fantastic year that we expect it to be”.
