Ice Energy Technologies is pleased to announce that the newest addition to their premier product range, the IVT Air X air source heat pump, has been shortlisted for two prestigious industry awards.
The product, ranked first in the world’s largest heat pump test, has been shortlisted within the Best Heating Product and the Best Sustainable Product or Technology or Product categories of the Build It Awards taking place this September in London.
In the test consisting of 190 heat pumps, the Air X was found to be:
- Up to 23-25% more efficient that its rivals in some instances
- Capable of producing a seasonal co-efficient of performance (SCOP) of up to 4.84 which is higher than some ground source heat pumps
- Quieter than any of its rivals
These findings effectively make Air X the most efficient air source heat pump range in the world.
Describing the shortlist nominations, Ice Energy Managing Director Andrew Sheldon said: “This is fantastic news coming as it does just a month after the Air X was officially launched in the UK.
“That it has been recognised in such a short time demonstrates the quality and impressive performance of the Air X and further enhances what is already a solid product proposition able to reduce energy bills and improve heating standards in homes across the country.“
Winners of the Build It awards will be announced at a Gala Awards Dinner held at the Tower Hotel, London on the 24th September 2015 and will be hosted by popular comedian Hugh Dennis.
