General Election 2015, What Next for the Green Deal

As the United Kingdom went to the polls on Thursday everyone was expecting a hung parliament, what the UK awoke to on Friday morning was nothing short of a shock. The former collation governments energy and climate change policy was led by its “Green Deal” program.

What now for the “Green Deal” the previous governments flagship energy program?

William Gray, the Managing Director of 1North Ltd, the company which has written most of the green deal plans financed through "The Green Deal Finance Bank" has made the following statement.

"The green deal is here for the long term, the new energy minister Amber Rudd is very well informed in the Green Deal and her pervious position within the cabinet makes her an excellent choice. We look forward to a great future in the Green Deal marketplace. 

According to The Green Deal Oversight and Registration Body (GD ORB) there are now 186 Green Deal Provider of which 56 offer Green Deal Finance, there are also 2411 companies registered under the Green Deal to install some 43 different measures nationwide, finally there are 411 Green Deal Assessor Organisations, this makes a total of 3008 companies across the United Kingdom which employ thousands of people.

All of these companies will be delighted that the program is moving on and that there will be an ever expanding marketplace."
