More Awards for Acro Aircraft Seating

The Acro Superlight XC offers an industry beating 19.3” seat width to the middle seat of a triple and is currently in service with Condor Airlines of Germany on their Airbus A320 fleet.

The Ultra XC is an aircraft seat designed to save weight and fuel costs, and, enhance passenger comfort. The design gives the passenger seated in the middle seat – known to be the least popular seat – more than an additional inch in width. This counters the industry standard where seats are equally sized regardless of the enhanced benefits of window and aisle seats.

The judges said: ‘In an increasingly challenging environment, where pressure to save weight can

sometimes be a detriment to quality, this design seems to strike the right balance.’

This prestigious win joins prior awards in the Acro trophy cabinet including

2013 – Crystal Cabin Award Finalist, Industrial Design & Visionary Concepts

2012 – DBA Gold Winner - Product

2011 – Crystal Cabin Award Runner Up Industrial Design/Interior Concept
