WARRINGTON MUSIC FESTIVAL PLEDGES TO RAISE FUNDS FOR ACTION AGAINST HUNGER

Warrington Music Festival is supporting the MealTickets live music fundraising campaign for international humanitarian charity Action Against Hunger.

Warrington band The Winachi Tribe, the mighty Black Grape and Clint Boon of XS Radio are keen supporters of the MealTickets campaign, with both headlining the Warrington Music Festival this weekend. The Warrington Music Festival has pledged to help raise funds for the MealTickets campaign throughout the weekend, raising money to save the lives of malnourished children across the world.

Fans will also be able to donate and enter a competition on entry, to win signed artist merchandise, tickets to future gigs and a voucher for £50 kindly donated by Golden Square.

91 pence from every pound raised will go directly towards the many life-saving projects that Action Against Hunger runs around the world.

MealTickets campaign officer, Deborah Faulkner said: “We are thrilled that Warrington Music Festival is supporting Action Against Hunger by helping us raise money through the MealTickets campaign. With campaign supporters Black Grape and The Winachi Tribe both headlining, it is the perfect opportunity to show the impact this music campaign has on saving the lives of children suffering severe malnutrition in humanitarian emergencies worldwide.

Clint Boon has supported the campaign from the beginning and will be telling fans how to enter the competition to win amazing prizes from the headlining bands and the Golden Square shopping centre. It’s great to team up with WMF, Golden Square, The Warrington BID and not forgetting the generous people of Warrington, to create real change for children living in crisis.”
