You are invited to attend the 2012 award ceremony for the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA).

Guus Kuijer, this year’s recipient of the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA), is visiting Sweden next week. The Dutch author is coming to Stockholm to take part in a week of events surrounding the award ceremony, including appearances at Kulturhuset and Riksdagsbiblioteket (the parliamentary library). This year’s award week runs from 22 to 29 May.

The board of the Swedish Arts Council has appointed three new jury members to the Astrid Lindgren Memorial Award (ALMA): Mats Kempe, author and librarian, Annika Edlund, literary educator and children’s librarian, and Henry Ascher, paediatrician.
